Pressure Sensor
type P703-0119
serial 30306
range 0-34.5 bar SG
This is marked as a Schaevitz manufactured device but the data sheet can be found through a company called StrainSense Limited in Milton Keynes who market these devices. The data sheet shows a more recent configuration, but the Part No. is retained.
P700 series pressure transducers are designed for high reliability and stability. The all welded construction incorporates a double cantilever beam with bonded foil strain gauges. Coupling to the pressure diaphragm via a force rod, gives excellent thermal isolation from the fluid or gas being measured. High overload protection is an integral part of the design. These units are capable of sensing extremely small changes of applied pressure and are relatively insensitive to vibration, altitude and shock.
The Sensor operates from a 10VDC/AC RMS and the Full Range Output with 1 metre cable is 25mV for a high-pressure range 0-34.5 bar and the SG stands for Sealed Gauge..
Applications for this item include Torpedo Depth Sensing and for Military and Commercial Aircraft but this was used on the Sting Ray Torpedo.
