Radar Altimeter Transmitter/Receiver. Unknown application and history. Possible for rotary wing.

Little is known about this unit but it is assumed that the transmit and receive aerials are behind the two "windows" on the unit and that the unit is mounted under the aircraft with these two windows facing downwards.

Since there are no apparent radio-frequency (RF) connections to this unit, it is further assumed that all the RF circuitry and signal processing is contained within the unit and the cables convey power input and altitude output signals.

The given size exclude the two 440mm long cables.
