Notes:

This is a United States Helicopter Flight Helmet type HGU-56P made by Gentex. The helmet has the liner, headset, dual visors and microphone boom. The first prototype of this design was made in 1985 and it has since become a standard. This helmet system can be used with or without helmet mounted display systems or oxygen delivery equipment.
Gentex has further improved this rotary wing helmet system to support the U.S. Army Air Soldier Program objective to reduce the weight and bulk of flight safety equipment for extended mission requirements of rotary wing aircrew.
