The Three Axis Rate Transmitter was made under licence from Bendix. The unit senses the rate of angular displacement about each of the three axes and generates proportionate electrical signals. These signals are amplified and applied to the surface servos to damp out any oscillation or disturbance.
This unit was returned from 16MU Stafford in May 1999 and despite the clearly marked "NO Step" has suffered an impact!
