The HUD Electronics Unit is a computer and as such contains digital circuits which are used to calculate by addition. The output of the summation is stored in temporary memory subject to the computer program. There are four Adder/Memory cards needed in the A-7 HUD EU because of the limited capability of the TTL chips at the time.
