Rotron

Rotron was founded in 1946 by J. Constant van Rijn and in 1949 was incorporated as the Rotron Manufacturing Company. The company  provided the military and aerospace industries with highly reliable fans and blowers. Rotron also make a range of Inverter units for military and aerospace applications.

In 1976 Rotron was acquired by EG&G and became known as EG&G Rotron and in 1998 it was acquired by Ametek to become AMETEK Rotron.

Batac is the Rotron trademark for a line of DC to AC Solid State Power Conversion Devices or inverters. The acronym stands for "Battery-to-AC". These devices allow for the conversion of a DC voltage to AC voltage which is then applied to a AC motor to drive a fan, blower or other device.
