Hawk MSC-2
The IAR 99 Șoim (Hawk) is a Romanian advanced trainer and light attack aircraft. In 2013 as part of an upgrade a finite element analysis of flutter was carried out using MSC-2 software. MSC Software Corporation was formed in 1963 under the name MacNeal-Schwendler Corporation (MSC). The company developed its first structural analysis software called SADSAM (Structural Analysis by Digital Simulation of Analog Methods) at that time, and was deeply involved in the early efforts of the aerospace industry to improve early finite element analysis technology.
This is a Coffee Mug with a print of IAR 99 Hawk Jets, flying in formation.
