The Feel Sensor produces a two-wire synchro signal as a function of the feel displacement from the zero feel force position for use in the electric trim system when the autopilot is operative . The unit is mounted on the artificial feel chassis.
The sensor includes synchros for channels 1 and 2 command and monitor computing lanes. Specialised design techniques are used to minimise the common failure probability.
The unit is marked: "NO STEP" and the red anodised aluminium strap is marked on both sides with: "Transit Support Brace for Feel Sensor 10-012-03"
