Notes | The Lewisham site of Elliott Bros (London) Ltd was established as Century Works in 1900. The factory made a range of electrical meters certainly as early as post WWI years. Portable instruments are standard test instruments used in electrical and electronics work. This Voltmeter’s moving-iron operation means the scale is non-linear with its first mark above zero being 20V, mid-scale being 150V and full-scale being 250V. The scale is marked with 5V minor and 10V major increments and has numerals at 20V, 50V, 100V, 150V, 200V & 250V. |
