The barometer is by an unknown maker but the case is by J.B.Brooks who were formed in 1876 and well known for cycle saddles ( Link to more about J B Brooks)
The instrument is likely to have been made in the late part of the nineteenth century, but the leather case is marked with J.B. Brooks & Co. 1915
