This comprises two rolls of silent film [numbered 87a & 87b] that have complementary blank sections; that is, where one film has a blank section the other has an image section. In some cases the image sections overlap; this allows the two films to be optically mixed to produce a single film with cross-fades between two image sections.

The resulting single film, with added sound track, can be found as the related item.
