Fiberglas-Technik Rudolf Lindner

A German company specialising in composite materials for the manufacture and support of sailplanes and gliders. After the closure of the aircraft manufacturing division of “Messerschmidt Bölkow Blohm” (MBB), Rudolf Lindner formed his own company in 1971. He started maintenance and repair work on sailplanes out of the basement of his own home.

In 1972 the company was moved to more suitable premises in Baustetten and 1980 to company again resettled into the current premises in Walpertshofen.

Rudolf’s son Helmut joined the company in 1994 after gaining extensive training and experience at “Grob” and “Alexander Schleicher” in the use of composites in sailplane manufacture. His training and experience focused on the processing and repair of fibre reinforced plastics aswell as on the development and testing of new sailplanes and motorized gliders.

In the year 2000 Rudolf Lindner went into his well earned retirement.

In 2001 the LTB Lindner took over the spare parts supply of all single-seat “Grob” sailplanes, and in 2008 also for all double-seat “Grob” sailplanes, including the G103C Twin III SL.

Since 2010 LTB Lindner is the type-maintaining organisation for “Grob” sailplanes.

Today, through their inspection, maintenance, repair and restoration competence, LTB Lindner guarantees the airworthiness of sailplanes and motorized gliders of wooden, composite, or mixed construction.
