Sanders Associates was established in 1952 to produce flexible printed circuits. It was acquired by the Lockheed Corp. in 1986 and evntually merged into Lockheed Martin Aerospace Electronic Systems in 1995. In 2000 it was sold to BAE Systems to form part of "Information & Electronic Warfare Systems" and, more recently, in 2005 it became part of BAE Systems' newly created "Electronics & Integrated Solutions".
