Sangamo Weston / Standard Radio

In 1936 British Sangamo acquired the Weston Electrical Instruments Co of Surbiton Surrey, which was the UK subsidiary of The Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation of Newark MJ, and became Sangamo Weston. With the outbreak od the second world war, Sangamo Weston went over to manufacturing aircraft instruments. The connection with Standard Radio is not at present clear. Standard Radio and Telefon in Bromma Sweden did make Flight Instruments and ST&C certainly were involved in Ground Landing Systems.
