This is another early design for the Autopilot Control Panel for Concorde. The design team consisted of Brian Wolfe (electronics engineer, project leader and manager for all Elliott work on the Concorde), Frank Wood (chief designer of the Concorde unit), Derek Marshall (electronics engineer under Brian Wolfe), and other co-opted members. The other key person was Peter Bell an Industrial Designer from Industrial Design Unit Ltd and his associate, Peter Ralph.
The Concorde autopilot was a logical development from the VC10 autopilot which Peter Bell had designed earlier.
The final iteration of the Panel is seen in Cat No. C1125 in which the 'Artificial Feel', Trim and Autostabiliser Switch sets are located above the Windshield.
