The three large buildings adjacent to the main road were on the 'Flying School' site, and were named (from north to south) No.1 Hangar, No.2 Hangar and Top Administration.

* No.1 Hangar
Was home to Automatic Test Equipment Division (ATED) until 1981. ATED subsequently located to the Thorn A building on the main Rochester site.
The next resident, after 1981, was the Training Department, used primarily for the company to train external customers.

*No.2 Hangar
The Head Up Display engineering group that was previously part of Rank Cintel transferred from the Elliott Automation building in Sydenham to join with Airborne Display Division (ADD) in Hangar 2. This was circa 1966/67. Very soon after this the ADD engineering group located to the Towers (a contemporary 'proposed layout' drawing suggests Tower 1 Floor 1) on the main Rochester site.
Subsequently Aviation Service and Repair Division (ASRD) occupied Hangar 2 until circa 1998, then moved to the lower factory on the main Rochester site.

* Top Administration (originally called No.2 Administration Block)
Prior to circa 1980, this building housed a test equipment calibration department. Subsequently it was used for environmental and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, finally closing circa 2006 when the EMC testing function located to the newly built Faraday building.

Between No.1 Hangar and No.2 Hangar is a small building known as the Barometrics Lab.

No.1 Administration Block was situated just to the north of No.1 Hangar, on the ground used for car parking space as shown in this photograph.

There is a security hut controlling access to the car parking space in front of the three buildings.

Google Earth shows that the three large buildings were constructed by 1940 and the two hangars had camouflaged roofs. All three were extant in November 2006, but by May 2007 the northmost building (No.1 Hangar) had been demolished. By March 2011 the other two buildings had been demolished, and the new Innovation Centre (actually completed sometime before Sep 2009) erected in the northmost location.

Close beyond the buildings is a caravan park, and further away is the Buckmore Park Kart Track.
