A very early CRT for a Head Up Display similar to that fitted to the Buccaneer Strike Sight.
The Science Museum holds an exhibit ( Exhibit No. Y1996.10.940) Mullard cathode ray tube, type MW6/2 which looks very similar. The MW6/2 had is magnetic deflection and focus; the deflection angle was 30.5 degrees, very small, and the final anode voltage is 25 kV. The CRT was designed for projection television receivers of the early 1950s. As such the CRT was suitable for application in a Head Up Display. Equivalents were 3NP4 or CV1737 are indicated in The Valve Museum link
