Notes:

This is a tool for aligning a Head Up Display in a civil transport. This is likely to have benn the HUD2020 fitted to the Boeing 737-800 or Gulfstream IV-SP and V. The fixture is also commonly called a Boresight Alignment tool and is used to align the PDU Mounting Tray to an external target and thence the PDU is aligned to the outside world.
